The QR code standard (ISO/IEC 18004) is open and free to implement, but most online QR code generators are not free in the privacy sense: they embed a redirect link that funnels every scan through their analytics server. How to use

  1. Enter your data

    Type a URL, plain text, phone number, or vCard. The QR code updates in real-time as you type.

  2. Choose size and error correction

    Pick a pixel size (default 300×300). Error correction level: L (7%, smallest), M (15%, default), Q (25%), H (30%, largest but most scannable on damaged prints).

  3. Download as PNG or SVG

    Download as a raster PNG for print or as a vector SVG for scaling. The QR code is generated locally with no tracking pixels, no redirects, and no scan analytics.

Why doesn't this tool track scans or offer analytics?

Most online QR code generators embed a redirect link that routes every scan through their server, collecting IP addresses, device info, and scan timestamps. This tool generates static QR codes — the encoded data is embedded directly in the image, with no server round-trip. A static QR code is a privacy-respecting QR code.

What's the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?

A static QR code encodes the data directly — scanning it reads the URL or text without any intermediary. A dynamic QR code encodes a redirect URL that points to a server, which then forwards the scanner to the real destination. Dynamic codes enable analytics, URL changes, and tracking. Static codes do not track and cannot be changed after printing.

Can I add a logo to the QR code?

No. Adding a logo reduces the error-correction margin and can make the QR code unscannable on damaged prints. For branded QR codes, use a dedicated print design tool that overlays the logo after the QR code is generated.

Which error correction level should I choose?

M (15% recovery) is the default and works for most use cases. H (30%) is recommended for QR codes printed on rough surfaces, curved objects, or that will be photographed in low light. L (7%) produces the smallest QR code but is least tolerant of damage.

Limitations
